Site Manager - CivilWEM Civil is NSW’s leading Civil Contractor. WEM enjoys the support of 250 team members and growing.We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Site Manager to oversee and coordinate all onsite activities for our civil construction projects. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring that our projects are completed safely, on time and within budget, while meeting WEM Civil’s quality standards. You will also provide effective leadership and guidance to the site team.In this position, you’ll be: Oversee daily site operations, ensuring efficient and safe work practices. Directing onsite construction activities in alignment with project priorities and plans, while overseeing project quality. Leading the site team, providing feedback and guidance and coordinating duties as required. Coordinate and manage sub-contractors and suppliers. Conduct site inspections and audits to ensure adherence to projects specifications and quality standards. Building and maintaining effective working relationships with key internal and external stakeholders. Collaborating with the Finance Team to set budgets and ensure the Site Teams measure and report on production against these budgets. Ensure the project is adequately staffed and all site resources (labour, machinery, materials, subcontractors etc.) are effectively utilised and monitored for timely project completion. Communicating relevant information to construction workers, enabling them to perform their duties effectively, and providing performance feedback and support as required. Providing advice, support, and assistance to employees and clients regarding any technical or complex issues that may arise on-site. Ensuring compliance with all health, safety and environmental regulations and statutory requirements (e.g., Local Council, EPA, Safe Work NSW) at all times on site. Creating a positive work environment, motivating the teams to work toward desired goals and acting with integrity to gain and maintain the trust, respect, and support of others. We are looking for someone who has: Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management or a related field would be highly regarded. Significant experience in site management within the civil construction industry. Strong understanding of construction processes, techniques, and materials. Proven track record of successfully managing construction projects from inception to completion. Excellent leadership, communication and interpersonal skills. Excellent problem solving and conflict resolution skills. Excellent attention to detail, planning and organisation skills. Proficiency in project management software and tools. Strong understanding and working knowledge of WHS, Environmental Management and Quality System. Initiative to continuously improve productivity and cost control. Self-motivated with the ability to lead multiple project teams with competing demands/priorities, to ensure satisfactory completion of projects. Willingness to travel and work in different locations when required. Willingness to support, coach and develop others.Valid driver’s license.
