Opportunity
WEM has a rewarding opportunity for a Landscape Team Leader - Maintenance to join the team.
The Maintenance Team Leader is responsible for the successful delivery of all internal and external maintenance projects. Working closely with the Open Space Manager, the Team Leader plays a crucial role in driving the success of this area by fostering a strong team culture and mentoring tradesmen and labourers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead onsite staff and subcontractors to efficiently deliver projects, ensuring alignment with WEM Scape values and safety protocols
- Collaborate with the Open Space Manager to coordinate staff, subcontractors, machinery, and materials for maintenance tasks
- Take full responsibility for WEM Scape machinery, tools, and equipment, ensuring proper use, maintenance, and inventory control
- Maintain budgetary awareness, ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to high-quality standards
- Conduct regular site inspections, maintain detailed maintenance records in Salesforce, and ensure site cleanliness and presentability
- Assess and address the nutritional needs of turf, ensuring optimal plant health and maintenance outcomes
- Build and maintain strong professional relationships with external stakeholders and industry networks
We Are Looking For Someone Who Has:
- Relevant certificate or Diploma in Landscaping or Horticulture or 5 years in a similar role
- Proven experience in maintenance landscaping, including turf management and open space maintenance
- Strong leadership skills with a track record of managing onsite staff and subcontractors to deliver high-quality projects
- Strong commitment to health, safety, environment and quality standards and practices
- A proactive and positive attitude with the ability to use initiative
- Great communication and organisation skills, including strong attention to detail
- Strategic and analytical thinking skills with the ability to problem-solve
- The ability to be computer savvy, including the use of CRM-based applications and proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite
